DROID Token

The DROID token is the governance and utility token within the Mad Droids ecosystem and serves as the ruling token. Inside the Mad Droids game and platform, the DROID token will be required in order to perform important operations like: marketplace purchases, staking, minting and upgrading NFTs, and more. This token can be acquired through public exchanges, in-game activities, and other forms of community participation. The governance and utility token ($DROID) will use a similar token type to ERC-20, which will be deployed on the Polygon Network.

With the DROID token that can also be earned through in-game activities and community participation, owners of this token can contribute in a wide range of ways to help determine the direction in which Mad Droids progresses. There will be different types of proposals, created by the Mad Droids team, to help get community and player feedback. This will ensure that contributors to the Mad Droids ecosystem, those who have its best interest and long-term vision in mind, will be able to actively participate in its growth and development.



Mad Droids will utilize the Snapshot platform for the governance aspect, which provides a safe and decentralized medium for projects and ecosystems to create an infrastructure for proposals and fair voting that is done on chain. Snapshot also allows for multi-chain integrations and different types of token support for voting, both fungible and non-fungible tokens. Holders of the DROID token can simply connect to this portal, click on the proposals they wish to vote on, and sign safe transactions through their MetaMask wallet and other supported wallets.

*Upon launch, Mad Droids will only use the DROID token for voting rights, but could expand to later iterations which could also include the Developer NFTs.
